Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology business serving the insurance and highly regulated sectors, has appointed Gerry Bouwman as CEO – Forensic Accounting & Engineering.

Effective from 1 October 2026, Bouwman will lead a strengthened practice as Davies brings together its forensic accounting business, MDD, with Pario’s forensic engineering, environmental sciences and appraisal capabilities. Under Bouwman’s leadership, both MDD and Pario will continue to operate through their established brands, creating an enhanced offering for clients, including, easier access to forensic accounting and engineering expertise, stronger support for complex claims, investigations and disputes and a broader multidisciplinary capability across the combined businesses.

With more than 30 years’ experience in forensics, and involvement across the wider Davies business over the past two years, Bouwman brings extensive knowledge of the firm’s people, clients and industries it serves. In the newly created role of CEO – Forensic Accounting & Engineering, Bouwman will report to Mark Grocott, Chief Executive Officer – Global Solutions, and will be responsible for leadership, performance, strategy and growth of the newly combined forensic accounting and forensic engineering business.

The announcement follows Davies’ acquisition of SCM Insurance Services (SCM) in November 2025. The acquisition saw SCM’s three operating businesses join the Davies global platform: ClaimsPro, Canada’s leading claims adjusting firm; IPG, its third-party claims administrator; and Pario, its forensic engineering, environmental sciences and post-loss appraisal business.

Martin Grech, who has played an instrumental leadership role in the Pario business since joining in 2018, will continue to lead Forensic Engineering as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Forensic Engineering. Reporting to Bouwman, Grech will be responsible for ensuring continuity for clients, while supporting the continued growth and development of the business.
